Several staff members have taken part in charitable 

events to raise money for worthwhile causes in 2009. 

Pipe Solutions has matched their commitment by 

donating £100 to each of the following charities:-

Lauren Ellerton, Office Administrator, took part in 

this year Race for Life at Harrogate's Great Yorkshire 

Showground, raising money on behalf of Cancer Research UK. 

Lauren was amongst over 3,300 ladies who undertook the event in June, 

and ran the 5km racecourse in 37 minutes.

In September, Peter Willmott, Quality Manager and Sales Executive 

for the Northern area of the UK, joined over 54,000 runners in the 

world’s largest half marathon, the BUPA Great North Run. Peter ran 

on behalf of The Bobath Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy and 

completed the 13.1 miles in 2 hours 17 minutes.

Myles Hullah, Warehouse Supervisor, organised a team of four cycling 

friends to brave the Coast 2 Coast from St Bees to Robins Hood Bay.  

After 5½ days, and 212 miles of pedalling, pushing and carrying their 

bikes, Myles and his group raised in excess of £2’000 in aid of the 

Special Baby Care Unit in Harrogate.
