Thermal expansion & building settlement products are installed to control the thermally induced expansion in pipe runs and pipe displacements caused by structural settlement of buildings. Expansion joints are the devices that physically compensate for the movements of the pipework. Guides are the devices that direct the movement into the expansion joint. Anchors are the devices that rigidly hold the forces developed in the pipe system and direct the forces into the adjacent structure.
The expansion joints generally consist of flexible stainless steel corrugated bellows membranes. These membranes can be constructed from different grades of stainless steel to provide optimum corrosion resistance to aggressive fluids. Various membrane wall thicknesses, coupled with one or more plies of material (single or multiply), and number / shape of corrugations enable expansion joints to be designed to almost any combination of working temperature, pressure and movement capability. National and international design codes are followed when expansion joints are designed.

Vibration & noise control products are installed to control the vibration and noise produced by reciprocating or rotating plant. Flexible connectors are the devices that physically reduce the vibration transmission from the plant to the pipework. Anti vibration mounts are the devices that reduce the vibration transmission from the plant to the plant room floor. Spring hangers are the devices that reduce the vibration transmission from the pipework to the structure.
The flexible connectors generally consist of flexible stainless steel corrugated membranes or of moulded reinforced rubber bellows. These membranes can be constructed from different grades of stainless steel to provide optimum corrosion resistance to aggressive fluids, or from different grades of synthetic rubber (elastomers). Many combinations of working temperature, pressure and performance are achievable.
Anti vibration mounts and spring hangers generally consist of helical steel springs and rubber elements within a steel enclosure. These resilient elements are designed to provide a large range of load ratings and static deflections to enable the acoustic engineer to develop highly efficient vibration isolation systems.

De-aeration, dirt removal & water conditioning products are installed to condition the water so that the system runs at maximum efficiency. Conditioning the water involves removing unwanted air / dirt and introducing chemicals to treat the water. Air vents are the devices that physically remove large pockets of air that gathers at high points within the system. De-aerators are the devices that are able to remove air from the circulating water, either by centrifugal action (removing small to large bubbles) or by cohesion (removing micro bubbles). Active pressure differential (pressure step) de-aerators can even remove dissolved air from the system water. Dirt separators are the devices that remove sludge and dirt particles from the system water. Dosing pots are the devices that allow safe introduction of water treatment chemicals into the pressurised system.
All these devices generally consist of a pressure capable vessel that contains the necessary mechanisms to effectively condition the water, usually by mechanical means. In the case of the pressure step de-aerator, this is considered as an ‘electro-mechanical’ device, which can be additionally connected into the BMS.
