Spring Hangers

Spring hangers are designed to reduce noise and vibration transmission between pipes and the building structure. These models have a helical steel spring combined with rubber isolating elements which are used in compression. They can be used on any pipe service where vibration / movement is a problem. They can also be used to provide vibration isolated support for Vertical In Line (VIL) pumps, where the pump is designed to be an integral component of the pipework eliminating the use of flexible connectors and inertia bases. Spring hangers are also used to support pipework subjected to expansion / contraction and allow for the vertical displacement of the pipe whilst still carrying dead weight - in this instance they are known as variable load supports. They are not to be confused with constant load supports (model CLS), which are also available.
